Description
The north of Morocco hides its game well. Who would have thought that there would be so many charming towns and villages? The imperial cities reveal medieval medinas, scented souks and most precious crafts. Inland, cities dress in white or blue and reveal Roman ruins or minarets. On the coast, the port villages surround themselves with ramparts while the sea towns cascade towards the ocean, blowing the breeze on the faces of lovers ... The sea offers magnificent sunsets from which Morocco takes its name, Al-Maghrib , "The sunset" in Arabic.

The trip already promises to be most romantic! It is in love that you will stroll through one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world. You will undoubtedly fall in love with the medina of Fez el-Bali, a maze of alleys from which mosques, madrasahs and richly decorated zaouias emerge. We are intoxicated with the scents of the El Attarine spice souk, we stroll through the Henna souk and share a delicious pigeon pastilla, one of the city's gastronomic specialties. Are you so obsessed with your partner that you are afraid of missing out on the most beautiful architecture in Fez? This is why we have planned a full day of visits with a private guide! From the tanning district to the Bouhanania madrassah, he will be your breadcrumb in the city and will save you from any arguments on the way to take ...

After picking up your rental car in town, you can go to Meknes, another imperial city. The remains of its royal palace and its UNESCO-listed medina are a pleasure for the eyes ... and its covered market is a delight for the nostrils! We can also make a stop at Volubilis, named after the pretty flower strewn across these moving Roman ruins, as well as at Ouezzane, a holy city full of character with its vaulted passages and stepped alleys. "This blue dream, I do not believe it, it is marvelous ..." It is impossible not to think of the song of the cartoon Aladdin while walking the alleys of Chefchaouen, which display superb lavender blue hues. You will also be seduced by its white houses with delicate ironwork, its hanging flower pots, its cats ... Here, everything is cute! Including your traditional riad, nestled in the medina. Continuing towards Chefchaouen, you can stop at Ouezzane, a holy city full of character with its vaulted passages and narrow stairways. Once in Chefchaouen, hanging on the cliff, take the time to stroll through this city dotted with minarets. Streets tinged with blue, white houses with delicate ironwork, hanging flower pots ... Here, everything is beautiful! Including your traditional riad, nestled in the medina.

Days 5 and 6 : TANGIER
You can reach Tangier by road from Tetouan, a city with Arab-Andalusian influences where the current king established his main summer residence. We live precious moments together in its medina classified by UNESCO: what a joy to cool off at the corner of a fountain, in the shade of a garden or around a fresh orange juice on the terrace… Your guest house is like Tangier: crazy elegance! You too succumb to this city celebrated by so many western artists. Everywhere, its charm operates: in the Grand and Petit Socco squares, in the heights of the kasbah, in the heart of the Dar-el-Makhzen palace… We restore ourselves from seafood cuisine then have a drink on the 'one of the city terraces. The must ? Sip tea at Hafa Coffee, a legendary place whose terraces cascade down to the ocean, facing the Strait of Gibraltar.

Following the coastal road, we pass by Asilah, a pretty artists' village surrounded by ramparts, Larache, with alleys plunging towards the sea, and Moulay-Bousselham, with its beautiful golden beach. A charming trio! Rabat, the capital, will be the last stop on your journey. We stroll through its blue and white kasbah, sit on the terrace of the café Maure or take a walk in its medina, which is full of crafts from all over Morocco. Lovers love to watch the sun go down over the ocean and watch the storks fly, which may bring good news ... On the last day, return the car to the airport and fly to France.

Atmosphere, atmosphere!
In the Moroccan streets, we sometimes hear the sound of the bendir (percussion instrument) and the ghayta (wind instrument), as well as cries of joy and youyous ... The reason for all this ramdam? A procession of newlyweds arrives and it is necessary to inform all the neighborhood ... Sitting each on their amariya (palanquin), the future spouses are carried in great pomp to be presented to the wedding guests. A tradition that lasts!
